Relaxing Sunday

What a nice relaxing Sunday I have had!! I needed it, as I have been running my tail off ( I wish!) all week with a cold! Went to see a couple of movies this weekend. I rented "Waitress" yesterday and watched it by myself. Cute movie. This afternoon I made a couple more nests. I made these with pastel colored eggs for Easter. I think they turned out pretty cute. I added some recycled leaves from the Forte tea bags to one of them.

There are a couple of new swaps out there that I am trying to decide if I should join. I said I was going to wait awhile to join any more swaps so I can catch up on some work and get some things made to put on my Etsy shop which I have been neglecting lately. But these are soooo tempting. They sound like so much fun.

Well, I am off to relax some more!!!

This Time of Year and Another Cool Blog

This time of year makes me have very mixed feelings. On one hand it is wonderful, the start of a brand new year. A fresh start! But on the other hand, it is alot of work. It is when we have the cleaning out of the old files and starting new files, getting ready for taxes. You know all that fun stuff!!
I have had some time to craft alittle. Actually, my daughter and I are taking another weaving/fiber arts class next semester. So I have been weaving some lately, trying to get back into that before the class starts.

I found a new cool blog you might want to check out. It's called Hope Tree Studio http://hopetreestudio.blogspot.com/. She is having a giveaway also. She has some very pretty things to look at!!

My husband's cousin had a heart attack last nite. We are not sure how bad yet. He is only 47 years old!! Just went to see him and he looks good now. But very scary!!

Sweetheart Box Swap Pics

Got a delivery confirmation that my swap partner received my package, so I will now post some pics of what I sent her.
The background on the top is covered with some ivory wallpaper. The swan is vintage and so pretty, I think. Some bits of vintage trims adorn it. The pics are not too good. I'm sure no photographer, am I!?The pictures are really terrible!! Oh well, you get an idea.and here are the goodies inside. Having a relaxed day today. Going to my daughters tonite to watch the UFC. We are going to a memorial tomorrow. One of our friends passed away last week. We will really miss him. He had pancreatic cancer. Luckily he had some really good months before he got very sick, and didn't really have too long after he got really sick. So didn't have to suffer long. He was such a cool man.

Well, I'm off to make some dip and snacks for tonite. Hope everyone has a great rest of the weekend!!

I finished my Sweetheart Box Swap package!! I think!?! I don't know about you, but after I say I am done with a swap package, I always seem to want to keep adding, I had it all boxed up and pictures taken and then I woke up about 4:00 this morning thinking of more things to add!! Guess I better get it taped up so I can get it mailed!! I will post pics as soon as she receives it.

I haven't posted any pics in quite some time. Shame on me!!

OK- here's a pic of my new little bird nest that I put on my Etsy shop recently. I changed the eggs to pink for Valentines Day. I couldn't believe I got the dye color right the first try. It was just the color i was wanting it to be!!

My daughter's birthday is tomorrow. She will be **!! My little girl is gonna be **!!! Can't believe it. Hopefully I will get some pics up Thursday of her gifts I bought for her. One of them is really cool! We are going out to a really good Itallian place for dinner, the whole family.
Gotta go get some work done!

Wow! The holidays are over!! They came and went soooo fast! Our holidays were awesome, hope everyone else had as great a time as my family did. All my kids and grandkids were here and healthy. We all got what we wanted from Santa. My husband and I had a nice quiet new years eve. But, come on ------ 2008 already!?!? Amazing!!

I signed up for the Valentine swap that Maria at The Junkk Drawer http://thejunkkdrawer.blogspot.com/is putting on. It sounds like a fun one!

We took my oldest grandaughter to see "Enchanted" today. What a cute movie. And my grandaughter just loved it!!

So--- back to work tomorrow!! And I intend to get back to eating healthier and the gym again!!
Well, my intentions are good, lets see how long I stick with it!!!
