Rustic Flower girl Basket and Ring Bearer Nest Listed Again In Robin Birds Nest Shop

I finally got my little flower girl basket and ring bearer nest listed again in my Etsy shop. I also have a nest candle listed that goes with the others. I have shown a picture of the ring bearer nest with and without the handfelted eggs. Some people want the eggs and some do not. So I can do it either way that you prefer.

First off- these little hand crocheted outfits i picked up at an estate sale, unfinished. I fininshed them off with some vintage buttons and now they are all ready for a great baby gift or for your own little girl. I thought they were so sweet! I have to guess at the size, but I think maybe about 6 months.

Next, I listed this vase and this old decanter. The decanter has "Federal Law Forbids Sale or Re-use of this bottle". I found out that that stamp on the bottle means that it was made between 1932 and 1964. The words were required on liquer bottles after the prohibition was lifted. The cork on the stopper is coming off a little. But other than that , thats the only thing wrong with either of these.

Also found this adorable little creamer. It has an apple painted inside. The pictures of the apple didn't turn out,but it is so cute. And I love this womens apron with all the hand embroidery on it. It doesn't have straps, so I'll have to sew some on. It obviously has never been used either. Then I found these two childrens aprons, one needs straps also. Both of them were very browned with age but washed out very nicely. Love the hand embroidery on both of them.

Apple Trees!

We live in the desert. So we rarely see apple trees. My oldest grandaughter wanted to plant apple seeds a few months ago. so she got on the internet and found out how to get the seeds ready. Wish I would have taken pictures of the seeds then. And had I known they would get as far as they did, I sure would have. they sat in the fridge for weeks, in the wet paper towel and plastic or whatever she put it in. We kept forgetting to wet the paper towels. finally my husband told her lets just try putting them in the soil outside. so they planted them in little rows out in our lawn. We all pretty much forgot about them, and the other day my husband called me outside to look at something. And this is what we saw-------

How cool is that! She is so happy! And so am I. Never thought they would get this far. don't know how long thety will live, but we will enjoy them as long as they do!

My Daughter and grandson have both been sick with the stomach bug.. I sure hope I don't get it!!

Had a great weekend! Saw a couple of good movies, My husband and I took our bicycles down by the beach and rode and watched all the crazy spring breakers partying in the channel. I am trying to get over a cold like just about everyone else I know! Woke up Monday morning with a bit of a scratchy throat. Still felt fine otherwise. so I went to the gym and almost finished my workout when I started feeling worn out. should have stopped right then, but of course , I didn't! Ended up putting my back out. Sooooo, the scratchy throat turned into a cold. And between the cold and the back really screwed up my week!

It's my son's birthday Saturday! he is my youngest and he is turning 32!! Yikes! Doesn't seem possible. So, I really want to feel good this weekend so I can celebrate with them.

I Love Old Lace and Buttons

I made an impulse stop at one of the local thrift stores a couple of weeks ago (I've been trying to curb my thrift store appetite lately). So, this is what I found. Two of my very favorites. Old lace and old buttons! Yay! I got all this old lace for $3. And there is plenty of it all to actually do something with.

These old buttons, there was a small bag of them, were $1. These are just my favorites out tof the bag. I love these mink ones. Well, don't know if they are actually mink. but they look like some kind of real fur. Aren't they pretty!!

Then I got this complete tatted collar for $1!!! I love it so much! I really want to do something special with it. any ideas? I would love to hear any ideas. I have a bad habit of just hoarding things like this and never putting them to any use.

Hope everyone has a very happy Valentine's day! I made my man some breakfast this morning and made his eggs heart shaped. I watched him while he salted and peppered them and he never even noticed. Ha ha! He must have been hungry! I pointed it out to him and he loved it. men are so funny!

so, we will probably go see a movie today. thinking about seeing Boondock Saints. Any one have any input on it? dont' know much about it, but we have seen almost every movie out right now. Sooo......
